Autism Meetup Group

The Jacksonville Autism meet up group will be having a pool party for all families. This event will take place August 23, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Sutton Lakes subdivision pool. Please email me if you would like more information. We look forward to seeing you all out there.

Welcome to the Autism Society of Greater Jacksonville
First and foremost we are parents of children with autism or have other family members who have autism. Some in our group are adults with autism or Aspergers. We come from a diversity of educational and socio-economic backgrounds and experiences. Our children or family member(s) range from one end of the autism spectrum to the other. We are all seeking to make the lives of our loved ones as productive as possible and to help each one reach their maximum potential. Everyone on our Leadership team VOLUNTEERS his or her time to ASAGJAX.

Our Mission

The Autism Society of Greater Jacksonville Chapter seeks to SUPPORT, INFORM and EMPOWER individuals and families living with autism by providing a comprehensive referral service and website, support meetings, family to family connections, and workshops around the city of Jacksonville.

Our Vision

The Autism Society of Greater Jacksonville Chapter envisions a Jacksonville autism community that is empowered by the Chapter's current, reliable information and referrals, educated through workshops and trainings, and strengthened by the support and connection to fellow members.

The Autism Society of Greater Jacksonville and The Spectrum of Volusia County are committed to providing a supportive and reliable resource for families living in both North East Florida and surrounding counties down the Central coast of Florida. We have linked together to compile resources and build a larger network of support for any individual and family living with a spectrum disorder.

Welcome to The Spectrum of Volusia County in Florida. We are an online support and resource group for families of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities - Autism, Asperger's Syndrome (AS), Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD), Multiplex Developmental Disorder (MDD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified (PDD or PDD-NOS) and Rett's Disorder.

This list is for people seeking information about autism and other pediatric disorders (such as ADD, ADHD, ODD, OCD, SID, Bipolar, Depression) in our communities. Mental health issues are covered, including the latest news, legal issues, research, clinical trials and more.
